Muslim Ali Smriti Youth Club & Library:
Reading habits are a beautiful practice, but unfortunately, it is gradually disappearing. About ten years ago, mobile phones and Google search were not yet prevalent in rural areas. Back then, various programs were organized to encourage reading among the youth, including handwriting, recitation, and speech competitions. These programs not only increased interest in education but also raised school attendance. Later, the Muslim Ali Smriti Youth Club was established to inspire rural youth to cultivate reading habits and to encourage them to get their writings published. The club has also engaged youth in sports and cultural activities. On 08/12/2009, the Youth Development Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports recognized the club with registration number যুবঅ/পটু/২৭৫-সদর-১২২.
Society for Orientation, Unity & Liberty:
Established in 2009, SOL's vision was to create a poverty-free and peaceful society by fostering skilled and enlightened human resources. SOL focused on developing rural women's skills in simple handicrafts, enabling them to contribute financially to their families. Through training in door-making, embroidery, weaving, and beadwork, rural women have gained economic independence and dignity.
Sonar Tari Small Business Cooperative Society:
Unemployment is a significant problem in rural life. Unemployed and uneducated youth cause social problems. Despite having secondary or higher secondary education, they struggle to find jobs due to the lack of technical skills. This organization helps young people by organizing them into cooperative societies and promoting savings, encouraging rural youth to take part in self-sustaining projects, reducing the unemployment problem. The cooperative society, approved by the district cooperative office, is progressing steadily toward its goals.
Badarpur Handicrafts:
Badarpur Handicrafts was established to provide self-employment opportunities to destitute women in the village. Despite the constitutional guarantee of equal rights for men and women, rural women often face oppression, including domestic violence and sexual harassment. Most rural women depend on male family members, which leads to increased domestic violence. The organization provides a space for these women to earn a living by creating handmade crafts, helping them to regain dignity and respect.
Swopnoghor Women Development Organization:
Swopnoghor was established with the goal of empowering women to reach their full potential. Rural women often face societal limitations due to poverty and conservative attitudes, restricting their independence. Swopnoghor provides a platform for women of all ages to express their issues and seek help. Whether it is a young girl facing adolescence issues or an older woman struggling with family problems, Swopnoghor extends its support. The organization offers legal assistance, educational support, healthcare solutions, and helps combat child marriage and unemployment, all through technology and counseling.
